Jamal Musiala

Jamal Musiala, born on February 26, 2003 in Stuttgart, Germany, holds dual German and British nationality. He is a German footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder and currently plays for Bayern Munich Football Club in the German Bundesliga. Musiala moved to England with his family at the age of 7 and joined the Southampton youth academy. He was discovered by Chelsea's youth academy in 2011.

In 2019, he transferred to Bayern Munich, primarily playing for the youth team. In the summer of 2020, he officially moved up to Bayern's first team and made his Bundesliga debut the same year.

In the 2022-23 season, Musiala created 30 goals for Bayern in all competitions, becoming the U21 player with the most goal involvements in the top five European leagues. As a result, Musiala was named in the Bundesliga's best XI of the season and was selected as Bayern's Player of the Season.

Musiala has represented England at youth level and started playing for the German national team in 2021. In the same year, he made his debut for the national team and scored his first goal in the European World Cup qualifiers in Qatar.

In 2022, Musiala joined the German national team for the World Cup in Qatar and set a record for the most dribbles completed in a single group stage match by a player under 20 years old.

In 2024, Musiala participated in the European Championship with the German national team. On June 15, 2024, in the opening match of the EURO 2024, Group A first round, Musiala scored in the 19th minute as Germany defeated Scotland 5-1. On June 20, in the second round of the European Championship group stage, Musiala scored to help Germany beat Hungary 2-0 and advance to the next round. On June 30, in the round of 16 of the European Championship, Musiala scored a goal to help Germany defeat Denmark 2-0 and advance to the quarter-finals.

At 21 years and 124 days old, he became the youngest goalscorer for Germany in the knockout stage of the European Championship, the second youngest player to score three goals in the European Championship, and the third German player in the 21st century to score three goals in a single European Championship.
